In our LCC this week, we have been doing some mixed media Art that is linked to our class novel: ‘How to Train your Dragon’. Using oil pastels, pencils, different coloured papers and card we learnt how to create a picture of a dragons eye. We looked at all the different types of eyes that are in nature and then decided that using the basic shape of a crocodile’s eye was the closest to a dragon’s. We then chose our own colours for the eye and used oil pastels and pencil to do this. Next, we used different coloured paper and card to make the scales. The results were really effective.
